Dear Indians,
India is a country with diverse culture and languages besides the different religions of contradicting faiths. Since long back our country was attracted by several communities of far away countries. They came, stayed for awhile and left thereafter like Alexander the Great did.
An unbeatable Greek Hero who never pressed for accepting their own culture, languages, faiths etc. upon the defeated nations. Invaders came for looting our country. Some of them were lost by the absorption of our cultures. A few among us were lost by the assimilation with them.
Thus an Indian language Urdu evolved but now dying fast along with Sanskrit. Except English all other Indian languages Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, and Malayalam etc. are destined to same fate like Urdu and Sanskrit.
Ever had developed countries like Russia, Germany, France, Japan, China etc. depended on a language which they disown? But the Indians have no choice but to express their thoughts and ideas always in the single language which was forced upon them by the British. The contention of this writing is not to project the British with a bad image as they had obstructed or abused Indian cultures, languages, religions etc. rather should be praised as they had polished those abstract things. None other than British made available of grammar books in different regional languages authored by their literates. They had stopped certain evils of the societies like burning of young widows, sacrificing human being before idols of Gods, etc. All these would have been happened in the name of religious rituals. Such cleansing in the society could be possible only when succeeded in introducing their desired new education system by the Commissioner Lord McCauley. The system was curved in six stages. Primary, Secondary, Entrance, Intermediate, Graduate and Post Graduate. The interest for acquiring such education was created by the earning assurances. On acquiring education almost everybody would have been absorbed in the Britishers' created services. Additionally they would be respected in the society as a learned people. A large number of such people tried for maintaining the regional old values and Indian literatures' dependent cultures minus the evils. Such attempts didn't sustain as permanent unlimited employment provision for the mass was not ready thereby.
On observation of the futility of acquiring higher education in other system but Britishers designed like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, society reformer preferred imparting English system of education for the girls. Although Raja Rammohan himself studied Sanskrit language, literature and Vedanta from the renowned Erudites Nandakumar Vidyalankar and Hariharananda Tirthaswami, confronted the old system of education through Sanskrit. He also studied Arabic and Pharisee from the Moulavis in Patna. Raja Rammohan Roy translated 'Kenopanishad, Kathopanishad, Ishopanishad, Mandukyopanishad' etc. in to Bengali.
For the first time in the year 1822 started English medium 'Anglo Hindu School'.
In the year 1830 at Delhi the Emperor Akbar (2nd) honored him with 'Raja' Title.
He died in the year 1833.
It was descending started for the Indian languages cultures and so on. But this never did the British.
Are those above mentioned Upanishads have no value in our live today? Really! How many Indian literates have studied those are unmentionable.
But using the English letters which are easy for typing on computer, we the Indians can notify to the world regarding the heritage of our language, literature, religions, philosophy, etc. in respective original forms.
Readers' opinions expected.
